Not only do our clients receive aggressive representation, these services are provided at reasonable rates. We charge $100 – $200 per hour less than attorneys of equivalent experience at larger law firms that we regularly work with and against. We manage the size and operation of our firm to avoid the high overhead costs plaguing many law firms today. By avoiding opulent offices, administrative bureaucracy, slick marketing programs and other non-productive trapping characteristics of many of today’s large law firms, our overhead costs remain low. By having only experienced attorneys at Cardwell, Hart & Bennett, we also avoid the unnecessary billing of relatively inexperienced associate attorneys who are achieving on the job training at the client’s expense. The client has a clear and direct chain of communication with our firm.

In addition to our decision to limit the size and operation of Cardwell, Hart & Bennett, we also limit our practice to the areas in which we have the greatest expertise. We do not have the need or desire to accept any client with legal problems which would extend the scope of our representation in to areas beyond our expertise. Moreover, by limiting the amount of and type of matters we accept for representation, we are able to better focus our expertise in achieving results. Better and quicker results are achieved at less cost to the client when attorney’s attention and efforts are focused on a few matters at a time. Moreover, we find this approach enhances the quality of our representation by allowing us to better understand the individual desires and needs of our clients.

In addition, the individual partners of Cardwell, Hart & Bennett have themselves organized and launched business enterprises. The firm has been especially active in the development of ventures for the development of water resources, oil and gas exploration, and real estate investments in Texas. As a result, the partners of Cardwell, Hart & Bennett are sensitive and responsive to the variety of issues which influence the decision making process of their clients.
